Right Bank liquid splendor is just a click away.

And big scores thrown in to boot!

Oh how we love Bordeaux.

Let us count the ways…

Especially when it comes from a stellar producer that believes in quality over gouging people on price!

In the late 1990s, Cháteau Mangot finally achieved Grand cru status, and ever since, their wines have taken a considerable step in the right direction according to those in the know. Critics have started to pay serious attention over the last handful of years, and the wines overdeliver on the palate and are gentle as can be on the bank account.

Rich, plush and uber-decadent, this 95-point wine screams Right Bank terroir and yet still appeals to a more modern palate due to top tier winemaking in the cellar and extra careful work in the vineyards.

This garnet gem from Saint-Émilion has all the goods, and we have zero doubt you’ll be sitting back with a proper grin once you take a sip. Gorgeous notes of wild blackberries, grilled plums, crushed blueberries, spiced cedar, dried flowers, forest floor and crushed river stones make for a truly sensational offering that is too easy to drink. A little bit of air goes a long way with this wine, showing its best days are clearly ahead of it, even though drinking it now will give you tons of pleasure!

An easy decision for Bordeaux lovers who crave something special any night of the week, and a perfect opportunity for those who fancy a California style to dive into the other side of the pond.

Grand Cru Right Bank perfection doesn’t have to break the bank.

Take our word for it and try Mangot for yourself.

Robert Parker's
Wine Advocate

Blended of 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Mangot is a little closed to begin, unfurling to show off bright blackberry, crushed blueberries and warm plums scents plus notions of lilacs and cedar. Full-bodied and laden with layers of pure, vibrant black and blue fruits, it has a firm, rounded tannin texture and long, refreshing finish.

James Suckling

A tight, linear red with blackberry and black-olive aromas and flavors. Medium body. Firm and chewy. Try after 2023.
